Fatherhood FIRE Program Generalist - Contract

The Preschool Services Department (PSD) is recruiting for Fatherhood FIRE Program Generalists - Contract who determine eligibility for the Fatherhood FIRE program and identify and provide appropriate resources and/or referrals for the needs of children and their families participating, or seeking to participate, in the program. Program Generalists may also monitor adherence to state/federal guidelines and nutrition services.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Possession of a completed Bachelor's degree, credential, or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling or closely related field.
-AND-
Experience: One (1) year of full-time equivalent public contact experience performing duties in any of the following areas listed below. Experience must be performed within a social services environment.
-determining eligibility for services
-referring for needed community resources
-interpreting, explaining, and applying rules and regulations
-interviewing and gathering financial, family or personal information from the public over the phone or in-person
